The Delaware River flows from Hancock, New York, to Cape May, New Jersey. It is the longest free-flowing river East of the Mississippi. Much of it is designated a Wild and Scenic River, hence protecting it from further development. This view on a falll morning from the highest road adjacent to the River, Route 97 in New York State, is at the Hawk’s Nest, an overlook a few miles West of Port Jervis, New York. |
